Made in the Philippines!
Today, misis bought a 61-piece Noritake set on sale at Macy's. The design looks very much like what her family had decades ago. It would be the only link to her childhood, so I figured the set is a must-have.

For what the store has down on their ad, she had already suspected it was made in Sri Lanka though had hoped she would find the word "Japan" on the label--wishful thinking. Discovering the set was made in our homeland surprised her but admirably wasn't a disappointment. "I'd rather it was made in the Philippines and not from Sri Lanka," she said. Even better, I thought.
